Having lived across the UK, our founder Christine often faced struggles when trying to find hairstylists who truly understood the beauty and complexity of Afro hair. Her personal experiences highlighted a challenge Black women across the UK (and beyond) know all too well—finding stylists who genuinely cater to textured hair can feel like a daunting treasure hunt.
Whether relying on word of mouth, sifting through social media, or traveling hours to larger cities, the struggle to find trusted Afro hairdressers felt universal.
